Gulliver's Movers has short and long term vault storage facilities in Hyattsville, MD and Arlington, VA. We store your household goods in large wood vaults specifically designed for furniture storage. They measure 5 feet wide, 7 feet deep and 7 feet high (about 225 cubic feet).
Prior to transporting your items to our warehouse, they are carefully padded and placed in our vaults at your residence or business. On arrival your vaults are simply transferred via forklift, directly into our facility for secure storage. When it comes time to return your furniture the vaults are simply loaded on our truck(s) and delivered straight to your location. The great advantage of this method is it reduces the number or times your furniture is handled.
1. Every item placed into storage is carefully inventoried. Whether you store it for 10 days or 10 years, it will still be there when you need it.
2. All your items are carefully packaged and wrapped before being placed in our crates. Sofas and overstuffed chairs, are shrink-wrapped and stored on couch racks. Glass, marble, mirrors etc., are stored on special shelves.
3. One can access their items from our convenient docks, 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
4. We use the latest technology to protect against fire and theft. Additional insurance options are available for your valuable items.
Wooden crates are not only essential for protecting valuable merchandise, equipment and personal belongings while in storage, but can also be custom designed to protect valuable furniture, works of art, or anything you wish to transport or store at your business or residence.
Custom crates have options of being fitted with carry handles, casters, removable or hinged lids, latches or locking mechanisms. They can also be lined with foam (up to 4" deep) to help protect your fragile contents. Custom labeling your company name and logo on the crates is also available.
Our estimators can take the specifica- tions for your custom crates and send you drawings of the measurements. We also have standard sizes, which may already meet your needs. Call us for a list of pre-made crate options.
Our storage rates vary based on the number of vaults needed to store your furniture and belongings.
A monthly fee of $25.00 per item, is charged for oversize items including couches placed on our storage racks.
There is a $20 fee to access your belongings already in storage and an additional labor fee to unload your belongings from our vaults.
